Van Heek launches new canvas in the Buckram family: Premium Matt
A modern, matte canvas design for projects with high demands on both appearance and durability
Van Heek Textiles has expanded their range with Buckram Premium Matt - a modern canvas design with a calm, matte finish and a classic woven look. It's made for projects where you want a subdued and elegant look, while retaining the well-known strength and stability of the Buckram range.
Premium Matt is coated with a protective PU varnish that makes the material water and stain resistant. This provides extra robustness that is ideal for books, menus, boxes and premium packaging where durability and a clean look are essential.
Technical excellence
The canvas is woven from 50% cotton and 50% polyester in both warp and weft and has a weight of approximately 232 g/m² and a thickness of around 0.32 mm. This ensures a stable and solid quality that works well for both manual and industrial processing.

Premium vs. Premium Matt - part of the same family, but with distinct differences
Buckram Premium Matt is the latest addition to the van Heek Buckram family and is closely related to the well-known Buckram Premium. Both qualities are polyester/cotton canvases with PU coating, but they differ in two main areas:
- Finish: Premium has a slightly glossy finish, while Premium Matt is developed with a calmer, modern matte surface.
- Color selection: Premium is available in 25 colors, while Premium Matt is launched in 7 matte colors. Six of the colors are common to both ranges, and Premium Matt introduces one new color - 29250 sand.
In short: Premium offers a classic, glossy look, while Premium Matt offers a contemporary, elegant and matte finish - with the same robust buckram quality at the bottom.
